This Chipotle has been about evenly 50/50 hit or miss for me. Which sucks because I love me some Chipotle- I have a Pavlovian response whenever someone mentions a veggie bowl so I've been to several locations. They have always been friendly at this location, so my 3 stars have nothing to do with poor customer service or a dirty restaurant. It has to do with the food. Now I've worked food service, so I understand rushes. But I think most customers would agree that waiting a couple of minutes for top quality food is worth it. Today's veggie bowl had "sauteed" veggies that were basically raw because they were clearly rushing to just get the veggies out. The rice, which normally is crack to me (mmm cilantro and lime flavor) was very bland and clumps of it were stuck together so there was clearly no flavor in the center of the clumps. It's a shame they can't be consistent with their food during rushes. I've definitely had great meals from this location but I've also had very disappointing, bland meals on the regular. I hope the managers can figure out how to manage the food quality during a rush in the future. For now I'll stick to the other restaurants around the area during my lunch breaks.

Chipotle is my go to burrito joint. Love 'em. Last time I was at this location was Halloween. My usual experience on Halloween is long lines, loud noises, and employees just trying to work as fast as possible. The employees at this location were kind, having a great time and quite helpful. Definitely one of my favorite locations.

I'm from out of town and I eat Chipotle almost 5 times a week. This is by far one of the worst experiences my wife and I have had at a chipotle in years. The restaurant was dirty (sticky floors, napkins everywhere, dirty tables, outdoor furniture thrown on the lawn) The service was slow and lady that checked us out was treating us as if we were an inconvenience.

Can't go wrong with fresh healthy food. No hormones, antibiotics, etc. Lots of people come to this location so you know the food is fresh. Very friendly staff but too busy to keep up with the tables. They really need another person to keep up with the flow of traffic.

Good "fast food" but you know it's real food. This location has a very small parking lot and can be difficult to access, but the dining space is large, and its quality is the same as any other Chipotle. Fun staff, and you know what you're getting.

Great location. Very generous portions and quick service for those who know what they want.

Getting in and out of this parking lot is AWFUL. Park somewhere else nearby and walk if possible- the traffic in this intersection of Fairbanks and 17/92 is a cluster and add in the red light cameras and blocked medians its just a mess. The Regions bank thats next door WILL tow you if they catch you parking there when you aren't your customer...it hasn't happened to me but I've seen it happen to other cars so beware. As far as Chipotle goes, its consistent with all other Chipotle's. Honestly I'm more of a fan of Qdoba because there are more sauce options but Chipotle claims to only get ingredients from local farms that use less chemicals in feed and stuff but who knows. As always there is too much cilantro in the rice but they do have brown rice as an option now which is nice and you can make a special request to have no clinatro at all and it barely caused a delay in the burrito making process at all. Last time i visited i was a little annoyed that all of the empty tables seemed to have food and trash on them and saying as it wasn't particularly busy i think one of the 30 employees working should have been put on dining room clean up duty but thats just me.

Come to this location countless times since its in close proximity to school. Chipotle is infamous for their burritos (which are stuffed to capacity depending on what you like) and their burrito bowls (A bowl of rice in place of the tortilla wrap with all the ingredients you want on top). I usually enjoy getting a Burrito, brown instead of white rice, chicken (Other options= steak or pork), mild salsa (Their Hot salsa is HOT. No J/k), corn, lettuce, sour cream, and sometimes guacamole (extra charge for guacamole). Now if they go to wrap your burrito and it busts, they offer to double wrap it for you so you don't have to contend with the monster you've created as soon as you open the foil. I used to be a diehard Moe's fan back in Gainesville but now I swear by Chipotle. Delicious choice for a hardy meal.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. 4 seems too generous. With this place, it's hit or miss. When I go in during rush hours, the food is mediocre at best. When it's slow, the food tastes pretty decent. Now, I've been going to this Chipotle for at least 5-6 years, and I still do. However, whenever I ask for extra rice instead of getting beans, I get almost a dirty look from whoever is working the first station. I'm not sorry, because the last three times I had their black beans, they were so undercooked, and I couldn't eat my burrito bowl. So, no more beans, and I opt for more rice. I don't get the big deal, rice is so super cheap. I've had undercooked chicken, raw veggies, undercooked rice(!), and I usually get my stuff to-go, so I don't realize what's wrong with my food until my 15 minute drive home. Usually the staff is very friendly, so I don't have too much to complain about the service.

I love tex-mex food, and Chipotle definitely knows how to prep a very decent burrito for a very reasonable price. This spot in particular is very accessible and has tons of seating area. So much so that I thought to myself, "isn't this a bit too big for a fast food restaurant?" Anyways, it works in favor of the customers that come in. The service was pretty quick, too.

Typically big box establishment. Clean, stocked up with supplies, mediocre customer service ... Strange part is that we were there before the lunch rush and they still rushed us through the line. Despite the fact the three of us were the only ones in line. Friendly cashier, line folk not as friendly.

    (3)
  • Ben R.

Always super busy but they seem to move the line pretty quickly. Always generous with the portions, I never feel skimped. Not to mention everyone is friendly and the cashier recognizes me and strikes up a quick conversation whenever I go. The only problem I have is the parking. I'll admit I've parked by the phone store and walked over.

I absolutely love chipotle and have probably to almost every location in Orlando. My first date was at one. I go to Chipotle whenever I can. That being said, this may be one of the worst restaurants I've ever been in. First off, parking is horrible and confusing. That should have been enough to warn me away. Second the employees are unfriendly and anything they said to me was mumbled I could barely hear them. Third, the food was unevenly cooked--there was a practically raw onion in my so limp they should be overcooked spaghetti fajita mix, and red bits in my carnitas--and not really up to the standards of other chipotle locations. But worst of all--as a former server--was the fact that I saw three different employees cross contaminate food on the line. One spilled steak on the counter and threw it back in with the rest, another one spilled the serving utensil from the steak into the carnitas and reused it, and then the third kept spilling lettuce and guacamole into the cheese. I was horrified because that means anyone with food sensitivities who ate here could get sick! Luckily I don't but I'm still pretty picky with what I eat so that's still bad for me. I understand being in a rush but it wasn't even that busy! I couldn't even finish my burrito because of it, what a waste. Just talked to the manager and she had no idea it was happening but said she would get to the bottom of it and said that it shouldn't have been happening. I hope she does because she's right it shouldn't have been.

Updating my review because those are some lackluster chips!! We don't frequent this location very often even though it's very close to where we live. The parking is a pain and they haven't really done anything to improve it. Probably because they know they don't have to since people still flock here in droves. Anyways, my husband and I grabbed a late lunch here. I decided to go outside my comfort zone and had a burrito bowl but chose the sofritas(seasoned tofu crumbles) as my protein replacement. I was pretty damn impressed. It was flavorful and had the consistency of ground beef. I bet Carnivores might even be tricked into thinking it's red meat! So if you're trying to cut back on your red meat/pork intake, I highly recommend you give this a try. If the thought creeps you out, just add some guac and you'll be fine. Now as for the chips. They're all premade and bagged . But not sure how OLD they are and if they're leftovers from the previous day but not only were they oversalted BUT they were also stale. The guac had a big chunk of not even ripe avocado..it was crispy like an apple. It's a damn shame that we already have to pay for chips and guac (most places have it complimentary) but when the product is not up to snuff, that's a problem. I really should've went back to complain but the long line at the register wasn't worth the hassle. I will make sure not to waste my money on that next time. Just wanted to get the word out!

Food is typical chipotle standards, only the rice is bit overcooked. The service and attitude of some of the workers (not all, therefore 2 stars) are horrible, apparently some customers are used to it and just laughing instead of complaining, the people in the line just discussing about the workers bad manners.

  • Nicole M.

One word: barbacoa!!!!!!!! My favorite thing about this chain is that they are extremely open about what products you're actually putting into your body. As someone who aims to cook at home 90% of the time, it is important to me knowing that they receive their meat on a regular basis and prep everything daily. That way I can feel less guilty; always a plus! I ordered their salad with barbacoa and all the fixings, and got an order of guacamole on the side. I found that I get more guac if I order it on the side and they cram it into their to-go cups. It came out to just shy of $10 per person, without a drink. I didn't use their dressing; it was far too tangy and sugary for me to put on my salad. Luckily, the meat had enough juice and flavor to compensate the mediocrity that salad usually brings to the table.

I love this place! I could eat ther every day, i'm sure it's fat free and wicked healthy. lol! The service is fast, don't let the usually long line fool ya, you'll get in and out quickly. While i don't believe they offer any type of freeness on your birthday, you have your bff's at work bring you and let them pay. :-) Well that was my plan. Anyway's I always get the burrito bowl with the Chicken rice, black beans, sour cream and cheese. I sprinkle some of the Tabasco Chipotle sauce and mix it all together. Makes for a great dip on chips. Only problem i have with them is their chips, too salty for my taste. I've tried their shredded beef, it's spicey but good. Too spicey for my daughter, so if you have picky kids that aren't into spicey, this is not the place for them.

I've never been a big fan of burritos, but when I am craving one, I try to get it from Chipotle because I really like the taste of it. I like the beef that they have and the spiciest salsa is actually spicy. I'm tired of other places where the salsa barely does anything to me. I also like that they make it in front of you so you can pick and choose what you like to put on there. The only qualm I have about it is the fact that the tables are not movable. Or maybe only the tables in the booths are not movable. I'm not sure. But we went with a big group one time and we ended up having to sit separately because we couldn't gather the tables together. That was really "un-smart" in my opinion. I don't see the sense in screwing in the tables. Parking can also be a hassle during the rush lunch hour. They have a tiny, little lot that gets full real easily, and parking on the street can be busy too with the other businesses around. But aside from that, I really like Chipotle and what they have to offer.

The Good: [1] I lived at this Chipotle once-upon a summer. The food is fresh and delicious, expecially when you perfect your fajita or burrito of choice. [2] The music selections are weird but great! I always find myself googling the hell outta the lyrics to the songs they play here. The Bad: [1] They don't have much of a selection of drinks, I don't like tap sodas, and I'm kinda over their Izze sodas. The Ugly: [1] Watch the guy who is making your burrito. Some of em like to go REAL heavy on the hot sauce making for an unbearable meal now and a fiery booty-hole later.

Chipotle is as good as it gets! Every city, every location, they are all the same....Amazing! This particular location is where it all started for us. They built it and it opened when we were in high school and that is when we became addicted. We had lunch last week up there and once again Chipotle delivered. We could eat there three times a week and it wouldn't get old. If you haven't tried Chipotle please go right now. We recommend this place for lunch and dinner any day of the week. So good.

Very disappointed in my last few visits to the Winter Park location. The beans were undercooked and the chips were stale. They also have lost the ability to wrap a burrito that stays together. The staff seems very confused and the process is chaotic at best. I hope they get there act together because I do like the restaurant in general.

This is consistently a very friendly Chipotle! They always greet me when I enter and I love the diversity of the staff. I typically go for a bowl with very little rice and lots of beans, veggies and salsa. I believe that increases the flavor and the rice sometimes takes away. Also, if you aren't into the cilantro/salt they put on their rice, you can always ask for plain rice instead. This is an inexpensive, great option for lunch or dinner!

I'm an avid fan of Chipotle, but this particular location needs some serious improvements. There were six people pushing my burrito bowl along (perhaps that's why I couldn't park in the parking lot...employees have taken all the spots), and five of the six were extremely chincy on the toppings. (I'm guessing it would have been six of six had the sixth individual actually served any food.) Twice I asked for "just a little more" veggies or black beans (two different individuals addressed my requests, mind you), only to get an eye roll and a blatantly obvious attempt to give as little of the said ingredient as possible. I've complained to other stores in the past when such behavior occurs, and Chipotle explained that they have no problem giving you more of any ingredient when you ask (except meat and guac, for which they must charge an additional fee -- totally understandable). Yet I can't help but feel like the trainers at this store drilled it home to give as little as possible. By the time I got to the cheese, I was too annoyed to even bother asking for more, having been practically ignored by my first two requests. The woman working the cheese station seriously grabbed about a quarter of what I'm used to seeing at other Chipotle restaurants. I'll never return to this restaurant again.

A nice Chipotle location. The service is quick, and the dining room is clean (mostly). Their burritos are fresh, well-packed, and have good ingredient balance compared to some other locations. Parking here is awful.

Started coming here after hearing about their healthier food/organic initiative. I have had consistently good food on both recent visits. Nice to see the manager on the food line. Our meals were cooked perfectly and I look forward to making a return trip for another standout Carnitas burrito.

Burrito bowl FTW (For The Win)!! I adore their rice here and the pork is just so flavorful!!! If you like spicy stuff, go with another meat but if you are looking for mild and flavorful the pork is where it's at. The corn and mild salsa, YUM!!! This location is BANGIN at lunch!

    (4)
  • Kathy D.

Their parking is the worse at this location!! If you go, go with extreme caution during busy lunch and dinner hours! I also grab a burrito bowl and just pile on the toppings. I think this is one of the better chains to grab a burrito rather than Moe's or Lime that is also nearby.

I haven't been to this location as many times as I have the one on Lake Mary Blvd. and the one on 436 in Altamonte Springs, but it still does the trick for me when I get that Chipotle craving. I was here last week and the vegetarian burrito I ordered really hit the spot. I think that my most recent visit to this store was the fastest and most convenient one I've had at ANY location. I was in and out of the store with my precious burrito in what I'm now guessing was under 3 minutes. I was surprised! I probably would've spent more time in a drive-thru lane, and even before ordering at one, than I spent in here the other day. Not that I was in a hurry or anything when I was here ... I just couldn't believe how effortless this recent visit was! I only have an issue with one thing about this location: the parking/accessibility. As far as I can tell, there's really only one decent way to get into the store's parking lot, and that's from 17-92 and coming from the direction of Lee Rd. I was on Fairbanks when I was trying to get here last week and decided to turn into the parking lot of a bank or office building (I can't remember what it is) to see if it connects to the Chipotle parking lot. (Fortunately, it does.) If I hadn't turned there, I would've had to go to the traffic light at Fairbanks/17-92, go onto 17-92 and perhaps make a U-turn and head back toward Fairbanks. I don't know ... hard to explain unless you've been to this place before and know what I mean. Not a big deal. I'll still rate my experiences and the food I've had from here very highly. Four stars.

  • Doug G.

If I were rating Chipotle not by location but as a franchise in general, I would rate them 5-stars. They are the MOST consistent chain restaurant in the country. So much so, that I installed the Chipotle App on my GPS unit so that ANYTIME, ANYWHERE in the country, I can find out if I'm near one. Now THAT'S obsession. After visiting the Winter Park location twice, it is absolutely evident to me that Floridians are also OBSESSED with Chipotle and more locations need to be built in the Orlando area. It is simply not prudent to leave your office at 11:50, go to Chipotle, wait on line for 25-35 minutes, and not get back to the office until 1:25 PM. A googlemaps search shows that there are NINE Chipotles in the Orlando metro area. Jeez, maybe you guys need a Q-Doba or four, or something. But seriously, things need to get sped up here, either by another area franchise or by efficiency training (which I don't think can help, they move pretty fast here) or I won't be able to go back. Also the parking sucks ass. There's like 7 spots, otherwise you need to park on this random side street or in an office park which clearly tells you not to park there. The food was just as good as any other Chipotle in the United States. And did someone complain about lack of drinks? Seriously? Try going to 99% of fast food chain places, where all you have is Pepsi, 7-Up, Dew, Barqs and some acidic-carbonated lemonade. Chipotle has TONS more options in the glass case behind the counter, Snapple, Arizona, bottled water, etc. Oh yeah, AND BEER. And fresh brewed sweetened and unsweetened iced-tea by the fountains. Sorry, that is simply not a valid complaint.

  • Rob W.

I admire what they are doing internally with the company, buying the best ingredients, using organics, trying to change fast food as we know it. So I give them props for that. When it comes to the tasting though, I am just not that impessed with the food. At this price you can go to locally owned places and get freshly prepared meals that may even be better. So I will give them 3 stars for their mission mainly.

I love Chipotle!! But my experience at this particular location was not the greatest. 1st at all the customer service was terrible and the girl keep rolling her eyes every time somebody will come into the door. I usually understand this kind of employees being that they are doing the same thing over an over but rolling your eyes in front of customers is not the best. Beside the customer service, the food was definitely not the usual amazing Chipotle i eat, the rice was over cook and has no salt. The beans also, not much salt. I was so hungry that I didn't complaint, and just eat it and left. Next time if this happens again, I will not hesitate on complaining. I was so disappointed that I didn't get the usual delicious food, and I'm really hoping this is a one time thing, and that they fix it.

I love, love, love Chipotle. Say what you will about them being a chain/franchise or whatever, but they are consistent. I have abandoned all of my favorite taco stands for their burritos. BUT, Because of a screw up at this location my boyfriend and I didnt eat Chipotle for at least 2 yrs. We both ordered burrito bowls. I ordered chicken. Mine had pieces of brillo pad in it. He ordered steak, his had a wet balled up napkin in it! DISGUSTING! I honestly don't know how this happened when we were standing right in front of them as they made the bowls. If you're familiar w/ Chipotle you know that they move very fast. But they definitely need to better job of paying attention to what they're doing, and dropping into the meat while cleaning near those stations. They offered to fix it for us but needless to say we didn't want anything they were offering from this location so we just got a refund. Ive since rekindled my love affair w/Chipotle just not at this location.

Of all the Chipotle locations in the Greater Orlando area, this one in Winter Park is by far the BEST! I've been to this location numerous times and have only had one mediocre experience, which involved bad guacamole. The staff is always pleasant and courteous. The foods is most always fresh, cooked to perfection and portions are plentiful! In addition to the Winter Park location, I've been to the following locations: Winter Garden, Clermont, Ocoee, Metro West @ Kirkman, Florida Mall @ OBT and the Bumby Road location. The Chipotle Winter Park is by far the best in O-Town!

This is my local Chipotle. I love this place and went through a period where I ate it pretty much every day. They serve the basic ingredients of a burrito, such as: tortilla, beans, peppers, onions, chicken, steak, beef, or pork, rice, cheese, salsa, etc. You can pretty much have these ingredients served up in any combination you want as tacos, burritos, quesidillas, or in a "bol." They make it in front of you, the portions are generous, the staff is laid back, and the food is generally fresh. Most meals cost around five or six dollars, and to top it all off their food is organic, and their meats are humanely raised. They did stop carrying Orlando Weekly. =(

This is the other Chipotle location I frequent, so my sentiments on it are the same. They serve good custom made tacos and burritos with fresh ingredients in an industrial chic setting. Simply put this is a nice place to sit and eat. This location even offers out door seating.

I used the really like Chipotle, but I believe the quality of the food was gone down significantly. This is very sad since it used to be such great food.

Very disappointed in my last few visits to the Winter Park location. The beans were undercooked and the chips were stale. They also have lost the ability to wrap a burrito that stays together. The staff seems very confused and the process is chaotic at best. I hope they get there act together because I do like the restaurant in general.

I love chipotle but this location is chincy on portions! Burrito bowl at any other location is twice as big!

I have been here probably over 100 times over the last few years and this location by far has the nicest employees and the freshest food. Thank you for your great service.

Four stars.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
